CHRIST IS COMING

"He is about to come, because we are expecting him." Such are the words great people use when a visitor has promised them a special visit.
Indeed, preparing for a visitor is something necessary  since the visitation brings great new things in our lives.
Like what we normally go through in preparing for visitors, our hearts are readily waiting for a special visitor whom we all think shall bring change into our lives.
A special day comes with great things.
Selection.
Our fore fathers left a legacy, which we all experience. And that is Christmas. Meaning "Christ mass."
Christmas was named so after having realised how Christ left something special that unites us all in prayer,"the holy mass."
During the holy mass,we celebrate the life of Jesus Christ which brings us together in union with the holy spirit. Since Jesus' life was so important on this planet earth, our fore fathers decided to celebrate that special day, when someone important comes to real life, thus naming it "Christmas."
We are therefore called upon to celebrate this Christmas with special attention because it is holy.
The real date for the birth of Jesus Christ is not known. It is neither written in the bible. Some people may ask why 25th December was selected.
Yes,it was selected because it would suit in the real celebration as marked by the church calendar, due to the fact that alot of festivities used to be celebrated in the months of December. Therefore celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ was determined by how the church programmed but it is not necessarily 25th December.
What matters is celebrating the birth and life of Jesus Christ, and opening our hearts to receive new life with his birth.
Celebration.
Most people celebrate Christmas day in style.
During our time, families would converge together and prepare accordingly. But this is dying slowly because of modern thinking.
Mothers would prepare as required and in my culture,"karo" was a must.
Is this still on?
We are called upon to share on Christmas day,and call upon everyone to come together and celebrate with in style.
In my culture,we have a saying "Nyenga nyenka,Akena mabi."
Meaning, preparing alone brings out poor quality.
Let us plan and celebrate together for the true meaning of Christmas.
Jesus shared...so why not we?
...Christmas fete continues in episode two..........
